The effects you've given to the entire piece are multiple, and evidently, all come together very well to make a very strong and cohesive piece. I really like the choice of font you've used - it seems to go very well with the theme and message of the piece. You've given the text a bit of a shadow, and it looks great on the slate textured background. The water itself really tops off the whole piece by being terrifically textured, bright, and interesting.
Overall a really well done piece. Good work.
